Facebook App

Our new premium social recruiting feature, a Join Our Team Facebook app, will sync HIRE with your company’s Facebook page for a seamless applicant experience. Job seekers will be able to see all of your locations and open positions on an interactive map — and can just click to apply! The link will take applicants straight to the online HIRE application form for that particular job and/or location. You can even embed videos and photos to make the app your own and to fit your branding. Our open API tools make it easy to add anything you think will add to your applicant experience.

Why it matters
Today’s top talent is all over social media; tap into your ideal candidate pool with our new Facebook recruiting app to make your company more accessibile — and appealing — to today’s connected team member.

Mobile Roster Report

Managers will be able to access the Schedule Roster report for the day and view it however it is easiest for them — by location, role, time and more! They can even view it by looking at “who’s working now”. And of course, just like with our Contact List feature, managers will have the option to call and text team members right from the Roster report. Additionally, managers will be able to see employees’ levels right on their requests, so finding appropriate replacements is now easier than ever.

Why it matters
You’re always on the go, and now it’s easier to do your work from your phone; you’re better-connected to your team and have more information available to help you make better business decisions.

Improved Schedule Request Visibility

Our improved time-off and shift-change request features give you more information up front, so you can make the best scheduling decision. You’ll be able to view all pending requests on a single page — one for time-off requests and one for shift changes — as well as a history of any employee’s previous requests from a tab in the Employee Record (so you can see any behavioral patterns). For each shift offer, Managers will be able to see who wants to pick up that shift, including important info like skill level, availability, total cost impact for the schedule and more. Managers will receive proactive alerts before approving an employee’s time-off request that conflicts with a published schedule and will be able to cancel it themselves if they need to … instead of depending on the employee to clear it. If managers still want to approve the time-off request, the shift will automatically become “Unassigned” and instant alerts will remind managers they’ve got a hole to fill.

Why it matters
More visibility into shift-change and time-off requests help managers ensure proper shift balance and make smarter scheduling decisions on the fly.

Employee Skill Levels

With this Platform feature available to all customers, you’ll be able to assign and manage skill levels for employees and view this information in several places across the Platform. Don’t worry though, only managers and above will be privy to this sensitive info. Set levels specific to your company and branding; there’s no maximum number of levels you can configure, and you can choose any alphanumeric scheme you want. Levels appear on the Schedule Roster, shift-change and time-off requests, reports — like the Onboarding and Cost and Labor reports — and while creating the schedule in the Employee Pick List.

Why it matters
Skill level information helps you keep track of employees’ progress, optimize shift balance and build on-the-job skills by matching up great and not-there-yet performers.

Schedule Alerts

Separated or transferred employees will be automatically removed from published schedules. Any shifts impacted will appear as “Unassigned,” and managers will receive real-time notifications via the Web, the smartphone app and D (our voice activated assistant), letting them know they need to find replacements.

Why it matters
Platform integration keeps your operations running smoothly, so managers can stay ahead of schedule gaps and unbalanced shifts if (and when) employees suddenly leave.

Scheduled Pay-Rates

Say goodbye to sticky-note reminders telling you when employees need their next raise. You can now enter in an “Effective Date” on any pay-rate change, letting you plan-out pay increases in advance. You can enter changes in the past and future and view the history in any team member's record. And thanks to our all-in-one Platform technology, anytime you make a change, that info will automatically transfer to your integrated payroll system and PeopleMatter SCHEDULE™, so you can instantly see the cost impact of the pay-rate change.

Why it matters
Reward and retain employees with regular pay increases, and see how your decisions will affect the bottom line in real-time to keep costs under control.

New Form I-9

On March 8, the Department of Homeland Security — U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced changes to the Employment Eligibility Verification form (Form I–9). These changes are already in the system (since they had to be live by May 7), so there is no reason to worry. Updates to the I-9 form include new data fields, improved form instructions and a revised layout.

Why it matters
Immigration compliance is complicated. Since our online system automatically updates with the latest requirements and documents, we make sure you’re always prepared and compliant.
