The government mandated some changes to E-Verify, so we’ve updated verification workflows in our hiring software to keep you compliant. Features like new E-Verify Participation and Right to Work posters, built-in List B reminders for managers, pre-populated TNC Further Action Notice forms, and more save managers time and help ensure companywide compliance.

Required E-Verify testing and training

There’s a lot to know about E-Verify — how to handle unfavorable results, what kind of rights you and your candidates have, and more. USCIS now requires training and testing for each of your business’ E-Verify users. Our new E-Verify testing and training features enable managers to complete these USCIS requirements within PeopleMatter. Updated state taxes forms

Every year, your state has the option of updating its state withholdings form. Rather than having to track down those changes and distribute new forms yourself, we’ve loaded all of the latest ones onto the PeopleMatter Platform. When new hires complete onboarding, they’ll automatically be prompted to fill out their state’s most recent withholding form.

Finding trustworthy employees often means running a background check. We’ve added another option to make sure you get the most cost-effective package for your needs. On top of our Basic Unlimited County Criminal check, we’re also offering a Basic Single County Criminal check, so you only pay for the level of the screening you actually need.

Save for Later status

Sometimes you have more than one applicant who’s a good fit for the job. With our new Save for Later feature, you can keep great applicants in your talent pool for consideration when you have another opening. PeopleMatter HIRE™ will store their entire WorkFile™ record, so you save time and re-engage right-fit applicants when you’re looking to fill future positions.

LEARN Admin role

Our new LEARN-only admin role lets users access our learning management system to manage employee training — like creating tests and editing courses — while restricing access to sensitive HR-related information like pay rates, screening results and more. Cross-location features allow LEARN Admins to manage training across all locations, so you can designate one person to champion your training program.

PeopleMatter SCHEDULE™ Updates

Usability improvements

New design features help make employee scheduling more efficient. You’ll be able to see the entire schedule on one scrolling page and more people on the schedule at one time. Now, when you add a job, you can upload all of the people who are eligible to work at one time, rather than adding them one-by-one. Whether you’re viewing or printing them, rosters and schedules are now more consistent across browsers and easier to read.

We’ve tightened up the view, so you can see more people on the schedule at one tiime.

You publish a schedule, only to realize you made a mistake. Now, after publishing schedules, you can make changes, and we’ll save those changes until you’re 100% ready to re-publish it again. If another manager happens to publish it before you, we’ll send you an alert to let you know.

Improved Target Labor screens

Managing labor in hours or as a percentage of your sales is now even easier. When you’re looking at a wall of numbers, you need a way to quickly get the highlights. Our new Target Labor reports come complete with negative numbers in red, positive numbers in green and a dark-red shading that quickly shows you any scheduled hours or dollars that aren’t in line with your set budgets.

Manager dashboard for PeopleMatter LEARN™

A new dashboard for managers on the PeopleMatter App™ will give you a quick snapshot of all your time-sensitive tasks in LEARN. We’ll pull the most pressing training info into one place, across all of your people and locations. View how many assignments are overdue — or will be soon — as well as any other upcoming coursework; get a high-level overview from the dashboard, then simply tap in to see more details.

You can even tap into this dashboard data to view more details, respond to requests and more.

Mobile availabilities

You can now view manager and employee availability from our free mobile app, anytime you tap someone’s contact information. Employees can also view their availability, which helps ensure managers always have correct information when creating and updating schedules. More accurate availability info means more accurate schedules, which leads to lower overtime costs, greater productivity and higher retention.

Shift reassignment

No need to find a computer when you need to shift around employee shifts. New mobile features in our Spring Release will let you reassign shifts right from your smartphone. Tapping any team member on the schedule brings up the option of reassigning his/her shift, along with a list of everyone who’s available to fill in.
